BOYNE CITY— Restaurants all over they area are giving back to the linemen and women who are working hard to restore power.
The Boyne River Grill in Boyne City is one of those places
They were one of the restaurants that were reached out to by Great Lakes Energy to provide meals for linemen and women, and over the course of this week, they have served almost 900 meals to the crews, as well as people who come in for a meal.
Debbie Derenzy, the co-owner of the Boyne River Grill tells us “And I know it’s not all of them, but we’re just trying to help out as much as possible, and then, make sure that they get a nice substantial meal first thing before they run out and help everybody try to restore their power. ”
The mother and daughter duo simply ask that the community treat the crews with kindness, as you never know whose home they are going to fix next.
