The month of April is World Autism Awareness Month and today, April 2nd is National Autism Awareness Day. For Wellness Wednesday we sit down with Dr. Shafer Stedron to discuss causes, red flags for parents to look out for, and ways that we can as a community support those that are battling the condition.
To this point, Dr. Shafer has released a children’s book called “The boy and his brightly colored blocks” which shares the story of a young boy on the spectrum and how his mother and family coup and provide a supportive environment for the young boy to thrive.

To purchase a copy of “The boy and his brightly colored blocks” or to check out Dr. Shafer’s podcast visit the Dr. Shafer Stedron website.
