ANTRIM COUNTY — Four individuals have been arraigned following arrests connected to a March 7 shooting in Mancelona.
According to a March 14 news release from the Antrim County Sheriff’s Office, 55-year-old Rodney Taylor, 22-year-old Dylan Taylor, 22-year-old Robert O’Neal and 19-year-old Henry Daniels were all arraigned on several charges related to the shooting.
During the initial incident at 4 p.m. Friday, March 7, the Antrim County Sheriff’s Office responded to a one-vehicle traffic crash near the intersection of Doerr Road and Conrad Road in Mancelona Township.
During the crash investigation it was discovered that the vehicle had been struck by gunfire. The car was occupied by three males from Kalkaska, Buckley and Grand Rapids. They had been to a home on Doerr Road where an exchange of gunfire, with two of the occupants of the home, caused them to leave and crash the vehicle shortly after.
Two handguns were seized from the vehicle, one of which had been reported as being stolen. No one was injured in the incident. The Northern Michigan Mutual Aid Emergency Response Team was requested at the scene of the shooting and a search warrant was executed on the home. 12 firearms and over 400 rounds of ammunition were seized from the home.
Charges between the four include:
Rodney Taylor:

- Possession of a short-barreled shotgun/rifle
- Resisting and obstructing police
Dylan Taylor:
- 3 counts of assault with intent to murder

- Possession of short-barreled shotgun/rifle
- Assaulting/resisting/abstructing a police officer
Robert O’Neal:

- 3 counts of assault with intent to murder
- Weapons carrying with unlawful intent
- Lying to a peace officer
- Assault/resist/obstruction of a police officer
- Weapons felony firearm
Henry Daniels:

- 2 counts of assault with intent to murder
- Weapons/firearm — receiving and concealing
- Weapons/firearm — discharge from vehicle
- Weapons carrying with unlawful intent
- Weapons felony/firearm
