Traverse City St. Patrick’s parade set for March 15

TRAVERSE CITY — The Traverse City St. Patrick’s Day Parade is set for 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 15 at Middle Coast Brewing at 329 E. State Street.

According to a March 10 news release, the Bun Brady Division of The Ancient Order of Hibernians has been organizing the parade since 1979. The Hibernians are a gentlemen’s organization consisting of Christian men of Irish descent.

The Royal Hibernians are the oldest Catholic lay organization in the US, founded in 1836, uniting men of Irish descent to promote friendship, unity and Christian charity. Since its inception here in Traverse City, the Hibernians have raised over $8 million for its primary charity, the Father Fred Foundation.
