TRAVERSE CITY - Traverse City Downtown Development Authority Board Chair Scott Hardy will resign effective March 1. In his resignation letter, Hardy cited a “fractured relationship” with City Commission critics.
The City Commission will accept Hardy’s resignation at its meeting tonight and review Mayor Amy Shamroe’s proposal to reduce the DDA board from 12 to 9 members due to 3 vacancies.
Former Board Chair Gabe Schneider and board member Katy Bertodatto resigned in August and July, and have not been replaced. DDA Executive Director Harry Burkholder says Vice-Chair Ed Slosky will serve as the interim DDA Board Chair until the next organizational meeting in September.
