The Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office said a crash on Saturday evening claimed the life of a downstate man.
Deputies responded to the two-car crash on Mackinac Trail on the I-75 overpass around 5 p.m. They said the first car slid sideways into the second car on the snow-covered road.
Sheriff Mike Bitnar said the first car had three people in it, all of whom were injured and taken to My-Michigan Medical Center in Sault Ste. Marie. The front passenger, a Brown City man, did not survive.
