On July 25, 2024, a vehicle the Kalkaska County Sheriff’s Office says was driven by Cody Everett Hockridge failed to stop on Twin Lake Road at US-131, crashing into a semi-truck.
The passenger in Hockridge’s vehicle, Timothy Earl Alberts, died at the scene. Hockridge was taken to the hospital for his injuries and later released.
A felony warrant was issued for Hockridge, but deputies say he has been on the run from law enforcement since that time. Anyone hiding Hockridge may be charged with harboring a fugitive, which is a felony.
He is a white male with brown hair and hazel eyes. He is 5′8″ and 170 pounds, and has a tattoo that says “face your struggle” on his right neck.
The family has offered a $1,500 reward to anyone with information leading to his arrest.
Anyone with information regarding the location of Hockridge is asked to submit their tip online or call Kalkaska Central Dispatch at 231-258-3350.
