BENZIE — The Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa & Chippewa Indians has launched a new 2,794-square-foot gaming facility, Crystal Shores Casino in Benzie.
According to a Jan. 16 news release, Crystal Shores Casino will celebrate its soft opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18 for local dignitaries and Tribal elders.
The official Grand Opening celebration and ribbon cutting will take place at noon on Wednesday, Jan. 22. The casino will open at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 22 for the general public. Hours of operation are 9 a.m. to midnight Wednesday through Sunday each week.
The new gaming facility, inspired by the natural beauty of the nearby Crystal Lake, offers a state-of-the-art, 2,794-square-foot gaming floor featuring popular slot machines such as Buffalo Ascension, Sizzling 7′s, Lock it Link and Game King Video Poker.
Crystal Shores will also provide on-site dining and will integrate into the Grand Rewards program, allowing players to enjoy the benefits available at Grand Traverse sister properties, including Turtle Creek Casino and Leelanau Sands Casino.
