Guns N Hoses tickets for Feb. 22 game are now available

TRAVERSE CITY - Tickets are now on sale for this year’s rivalry hockey game for a good cause.

It’s the annual Guns N Hoses game where local first responders will meet on the ice to raise money for someone in need.

This year’s beneficiary is Jake Townsend, who was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called Ewing sarcoma back in September 2024. All proceeds from admission tickets and the silent auction to raffle and shirts will go to the Townsend family for Jake’s treatment.

“It seems like it’s all too often a story here in northern Michigan and across the country as well that cancer affects our lives in our first responder communities as well as the all the communities around us,” says Lt. Kyle Clute with the Grand Traverse Metro Fire Department. “So this is important to provide support for some of these people, and some of them can’t do it without some help.”

That game will be on Feb. 22 at 6 p.m. at Centre Ice Arena in Traverse City.
