CLARE COUNTY - On Friday, Jan. 10 at 7 p.m. a Clare County Sheriff’s Office deputy was conducting a traffic crash investigation on northbound US-127 just north of US-10 in the township of Grant when the deputy’s vehicle was struck from behind.
The Deputy was in the patrol car at the time it was struck, officials said.
The patrol unit driven by the deputy was struck from behind by a 22-year-old Mount Pleasant woman driving a 2007 Toyota Corolla, deputies said. Both vehicles were damaged during the crash, but both were drivable.

There were no injuries reported.
Alcohol or drugs were not a factor in the crash.
The Mount Pleasant woman was cited for traveling too fast for conditions and operating a motor vehicle with an expired registration.
