TRAVERSE CITY — Michael’s Place has launched a new grief support program specifically designed for children and their parents or caregivers.
The grief support center’s new program aims to provide a compassionate space where families can navigate the complex emotions of loss together, strengthening communication and fostering healthy healing. It incorporates therapeutic play, art, storytelling, and discussion, allowing children and their caregivers to express their feelings in a creative and safe environment.
Participants will be guided through various activities and discussions tailored to peer age groups, ensuring that both children and adults feel comfortable and supported.
