NEWAYGO COUNTY — The Newaygo County Sheriff’s Office said Monday that a person died in a house fire in Bever Township.
On Sunday, Dec. 8 around 4:25 a.m., deputies from the Newaygo County Sheriff’s Office were sent to the 9000 block of West 7 Mile Road in Beaver Township to assist on a house fire.
Deputies and firefighters were able to pull a 69-year-old man out of the burning house, and life-saving measures were taken, but he died at the scene, deputies said.
A 69-year-old woman was able to get out of the residence without injuries, deputies said.
This fire remains under investigation.
