TRAVERSE CITY - Turkey day is tomorrow, which means Black Friday is hot on its heels.
Small businesses are preparing for their own deals in advance of the holiday season. Rocket fizz in Traverse City says that their one of the go to shops in town for people to pick up some fun stocking stuffers, but they don’t just sell candy and pop. They’ll have a buy one get one free sale on their tin signs on Friday.
“I feel like, as busy as it is, everybody knows like the hectic Black Friday like wake up at 6am to get all the deals. It’s much less that which is nice. It’s still busy and stuff because people are out finding things because they’re still shopping but I’d say it’s a little nicer than the bigger stores just because it’s a little slower and you’re able to just kind of slow down and enjoy yourself,” says David Riess.
And many shops will be participating in small business Saturday the next day for even more deals before Christmastime.
