Tis the season for giving, and the Mt. Pleasant Police Department is teaming up with local businesses to deliver Christmas cheer.
Together with Krapohl Ford Lincoln, Mountain Town Station and Summit Smokehouse, officers are holding their annual Cram a Cruiser event. They collect as many toys as possible to donate to Toys for Tots. They’ve been doing it for more than 20 years and say they collect thousands of toys each time, bringing smiles to hundreds of kids.
“It’s Christmas time. I mean, everybody wins here, right? So we’re helping out our community. We’re helping out our youth. They get to experience a Christmas that everyone deserves. And we’re helping hundreds of families and and it’s a holiday, so anything that they can do to help is greatly appreciated,” said Josh Theisen, youth services officer.
From Nov. 29 to Dec. 16, Mountain Town Station, and Summit Smokehouse are offering 25% off individual meals in exchange for new, unwrapped, unopened toys.
You can help cram a cruiser on Dec. 4 from 3:00 - 5:30 p.m. at Krapohl Ford Lincoln, 1415 E. Pickard Road, or Dec. 12 from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. in front of the Division of Public Safety Building, 804 E. High Street.
