Mt. Pleasant officers narrowly rescue woman from fiery crash

MT. PLEASANT — At 9:55 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27, officers from the Mt. Pleasant Police Department were dispatched to a rollover accident at the North Mission Road roundabout.

Officers arrived to find a car on its side and on fire. Officers broke the front windshield to get the driver out, and seconds later the car was fully engulfed in flames.

The 22-year-old woman from Sterling Heights was taken to the hospital where she was treated for minor injuries. No one else was in the car.

The Mt. Pleasant Police Department was assisted by the Mt. Pleasant Fire Department, Isabella County Sheriff’s Office, Michigan State Police, MMR, and Isabella County Central Dispatch.
