Michigan to receive $119.7 million to improve railroads in the state

The Federal Railroad Administration of the U.S. Department of Transportation on Tuesday announced that it has invested $119.7 million in new rail grant funding in Michigan.

Nationally, more than $2.4 billion in Bipartisan Infrastructure Law funding is being invested in 122 rail improvement projects in 41 states and Washington, D.C.

These projects aim to make rail safer, more reliable and more resilient, getting goods and people where they need to be quickly with fewer disruptions, lower shipping costs and less pollution, according to the FRA.
