McBain man pleads guilty to child sexual assault in 1 of 2 counties where he’s charged

The Missaukee County Circuit Court confirmed that Brien Lee Schultz from McBain entered a guilty plea for one count Criminal Sexual Conduct of Person Under 13 - Third Degree, and one count Accosting a Child for Immoral Purposes.

A McBain man entered a plea agreement in one of two counties where he’s charged with sexually assaulting a minor.

In January 2024, a Michigan State Police trooper was made aware of a second victim in a sexual assault case he was working. The original investigation began in March 2023.

The first victim said they had been sexually assaulted by Brien Lee Schultz from McBain from 2006 to 2010. The second victim said they were sexually assaulted by Schultz for two year, 2010 to 2011, in a different county.

Schultz was arrested for first incident and arraigned in May 2024 in Osceola County. He was charged with one count Criminal Sexual Conduct of Person Under 13 - First Degree, one count Accosting a Child for Immoral Purposes, and one count Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.

Schultz was arrested for the second incident in Missaukee County and was also arraigned in May 2024. He was charged with one count Criminal Sexual Conduct of Person Under 13 - Third Degree, one count Accosting a Child for Immoral Purposes, and one count Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.

He recently entered a plea agreement in the Missaukee County Circuit Court for the first two charges. His bond was revoked.
