TRAVERSE CITY ― The City of Traverse City Water/Wastewater Maintenance Division is continuing work replacing private galvanized water lines that were once hooked to lead.
The project started in April 2024 and is anticipated to be completed in October 2024.
The week of Oct. 7 the project will continue on the 800, 900, and 1000 blocks of E. Eighth Street.

The work will cause sidewalk and intermittent street closures and lane shifts. Appropriate signage will be in place, and access to all homes and businesses will be maintained at all times.
