Deputies were sent to a crash that occurred on South Sheridan Road near Boyer Road in Fairplain Township around 10 p.m. Thursday.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a northbound 2008 Audi, traveling on South Sheridan Road, attempted to pass another northbound vehicle, deputies said. As the Audi, driven by a 25-year-old man from West Bloomfield, was overtaking the other vehicle, it collided head-on with a southbound 2016 Chrysler 200, being driven by a 21-year-old man from Ionia, deputies said.
