TRAVERSE CITY — The 12th annual TC Germanfest at Trinity Lutheran School kicked off Friday night.
Anyone was welcome to attend and even wear traditional German clothes. The event brings the community together and the extra proceeds go towards the school.
Family night’s event under the big tent featured live music and drinks. Saturday was “Familienfest,” which features more family-friendly events like crafts, flag football and other games.
“We are a fun party here. We’ve got the oom-pah-pah band that’s coming. We have a great live band. We have authentic German food, we have October and Dunkel and Pilsner and Dawn Felder. We have all the yummy drinks that hark in Germany and so much fun to be had,” said organizer Sherry Galbraith.
