ELK RAPIDS -The Northwest Michigan Fishing Club is hosting a ‘Veteran’s Cisco in The Crisco.’ The event is hosted at the Elk Rapids Marina on Saturday starting at 6:30 a.m.
The event is to give back to our veterans by giving them a chance to fish in the East Grand Traverse Bay. This year there are 22 captains and 50 veterans signed up, the event is full but people are encouraged to sign up for next year. There will be a fresh cisco lunch provided afterwards, the event also includes prizes and raffles and a first-place plague for the heaviest bag of ciscoes.
This is important to the community and the club because the veterans have given so much to us. It’s time for the club to give back to them. Past veterans, previous veterans and the ones in the future,” says Mike Radcliffe, President of Northwest Fishing Club.
The Northwest Michigan Fishing Club is hoping that people in the community will join in on welcoming the veterans back after their trip at 11:30 a.m. at the Elk Rapids Marina, to thank the veterans for their service.
