Local retired elementary school teacher Julie Dickerson spent 18 years educating young children, but just because she has since retired doesn’t mean that she’s done molding young minds.
That’s why together with illustrator Rhonda McKinnon she authored the children’s alphabet book “Beaches, Boats, and Birds: A Lake Michigan Alphabet Book,” which celebrates the communities that we call home.
In addition to picking up the book, you can also meet Julie at the in-store book signing event taking place on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 1-3 p.m. at Horizon Books in Traverse City.
