BEULAH - Over the weekend, the sixth annual Gathering of the Goldens took place in Beulah at Turtle Lake Campground, and our lifestyle reporter Rachel Rademacher was there to check it all out!
This is the second largest gathering of golden retrievers in the U.S. after the gathering in Golden, Colorado. The Midwest fest draws golden retriever owners and dog lovers from all over. The event kicked off on Friday evening with the dogs and their owners hanging out by the lake and enjoying some comradery. The fun continued through the weekend with a golden retriever parade and some friendly competition amongst the dogs. Not only do the dogs love it, but the owners do, too!
You can’t help but smile when you’re on a lake surrounded by hundreds of happy golden retrievers. This years event might be over, but mark your calendar for next year’s festival!
