The Isabella County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called to US-127 in Union Township on Friday morning, where a driver had reportedly hit a construction worker.
Deputies said the worker was hit by a Detroit man in a Ford Bronco and killed. They said the driver left the designated traffic area and enter the construction zone.
They are still investigating why and how the driver entered the barricaded area. The driver was not injured.
