LEELANAU — On Sept. 21, the Leelanau Historical Society will celebrate the third annual Leelanau Maritime History Festival, a fantastic way to share our connection with Great Lakes here in Northern Michigan. From 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, you can enjoy free admission to exhibits, numerous vendors, live music and, of course, the 20th annual classic wood boat show - an event that has been growing over the past 20 years.
With plenty of family-friendly activities there is something for everyone coming to the maritime festival with performances by Luke Woltanski as well as Rigs & Jeels. For more information on the event or to donate to the Leelanau historical Society visit the Leelanau history website.
