CEDARVILLE – The Eskymos put an end to the Islanders winning streak on Friday night, 85-50. Cedarville-Detour plays Harbor Springs on Monday, Dec. 19 at 7 p.m.  

CEDARVILLE – The St. Ignace Saints and Mackinaw City Comets both earned sweeps in their district semifinal games on Tuesday night. The Saints swept Pickford and Mackinaw City swept the hosting Cedarville-DeTour Islanders to advance. St. Ignace and Mackinaw City will square off in the district championship game on Thursday at 6 p.m. in Cedarville.

CEDARVILLE – The Boyne City Ramblers got themselves ready for districts by going 2-0 at a non-conference tri-meet in Cedarville on Thursday night. The Ramblers swept Pickford 3-0 and then beat Cedarville-DeTour 2-1. Pickford beat Cedarville-DeTour 2-1 in the final match of the night.

CEDARVILLE – Cedarville-DeTour improved to 4-1 on the season with a 64-24 league win over Brimley on Friday. Cedarville-DeTour (4-1, 3-1) visits Rapid River next Friday while Brimley (1-4, 0-4) welcomes in Engadine.

BRIMLEY – The Brimley Bays earned a hard-fought win in five sets over the Cedarville-DeTour Islanders Thursday night. Cedarville-DeTour won the first set 27-25 but Brimley responded with a 25-18 win in set two. The Islanders returned the favor with a 25-16 win in set three before Brimley took the fourth and fifth sets — 25-11 and 15-7.  

HYDE – The Cedarville-DeTour girls golf team captured the Division 3 Upper Peninsula State Title for a second straight year and first as a co-op at The Highland Golf Course on Thursday.
