Bulldogs host tripleheader to benefit Corewell Health Women’s Cardiac Unit

BIG RAPIDS - Ferris State University’s basketball and hockey teams are set to host the ninth annual “Red Out the Wink and Rink” event on Jan. 31 at the Sports Complex, located at 210 Sports Drive. This event aims to raise funds for the Corewell Health Women’s Cardiac Unit while promoting community engagement through athletics.

The event will feature three athletic contests in one day, beginning with the women’s basketball team competing against Wayne State University at 1 p.m., followed by the men’s basketball team at 3 p.m., and the hockey team facing Minnesota State University at 6 p.m.

The day’s festivities include a silent auction featuring unique Ferris State Athletics memorabilia and products donated by local businesses. Proceeds from the silent auction, along with monetary donations collected during the “Million Dollar Minute” at each game intermission, will benefit the Corewell Health Women’s Cardiac Unit.

Attendees are encouraged to wear red to show their support for the cause and their pride in the Ferris State Bulldogs.
