Harlem Globetrotters to perform at Ferris State for 100th anniversary

BIG RAPIDS — The Harlem Globetrotters will bring their 100th Year Tour to Ferris State University’s Jim Wink Arena on Thursday, Jan. 22, with the event scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.

According to a Jan. 13 news release, doors will open one hour before game time.

The stop will mark the Globetrotters’ second trip to Wink Arena and their first appearance there since playing in front of a sold-out crowd in 2019.

Organizers said the 100th Year Tour will feature the Globetrotters’ mix of comedy, basketball skills and fan engagement as they celebrate a century of entertainment. The team is scheduled to take on the Washington Generals.

The release said Globetrotters events typically include trick plays, comedy and fan interactions such as a pregame Magic Pass for autographs and photos.

The tour also includes new elements such as the Golden Basketball by Spalding.
