HONOLULU, HAWAII — The Ferris State Bulldogs women’s basketball team has embarked on an unforgettable journey to Hawaii for the Hoops in Hawaii Classic, blending competition with cultural exploration.
They will play two games against ranked teams, the first being 9th-ranked West Texas A&M, followed by 26th-ranked Alaska Anchorage.
While the players will enjoy their time in Hawaii, the focus remains on growth and preparation.
“We’re going to definitely enjoy our time over there. But when we have a chance to compete, you know, we take our basketball very seriously, you know, in this program,” head coach Kurt Westendorp said.
The Bulldogs’ first game in the Hoops in Hawaii Classic is scheduled for Thursday at 9:30 p.m., marking an exciting moment in their season.
