MOUNT PLEASANT—Central Michigan University’s football team is eagerly awaiting the announcement of their bowl game opponent after a successful season, highlighted by standout performances from defenders Jordan Kwiatkowski and Michael Heldman.
Both Kwiatkowski and Heldman were announced as All-MAC First Team players, recognizing their exceptional contributions on the field. Heldman, a senior defensive lineman, ranked in the top 10 nationally in tackles for loss with 16 and sacks with 10.5. Kwiatkowski, a senior linebacker, was among the top 20 nationally in tackles and forced fumbles, and led CMU in interceptions.
The Chippewas finished the regular season with a 7-5 record under first-year head coach Matt Drinkall. Their strong performance throughout the season has earned them recognition and anticipation for their upcoming bowl game.
In addition to Kwiatkowski and Heldman, linebacker Dakota Cochran was named to the All-MAC Second Team, while receiver Langston Lewis and kicker Cade Graham received Third Team honors.
