Yaxel Lendeborg shines at Players Era Festival, earns Big 10 Player of the Week honors

ANN ARBOR — Yaxel Lendeborg has been named the Big 10 Player of the Week after leading Michigan to three decisive victories at the Players Era Festival.

Lendeborg, a graduate forward from Pennsauken, New Jersey, was instrumental in Michigan’s success, securing wins over No. 21 Auburn and No. 12 Gonzaga by more than 30 points each.

During the festival, Lendeborg averaged 17.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 2.0 steals, and 1.3 blocks per game. He hit 63.0% of his shots from the field and 43.8% from three-point range. Lendeborg led the Wolverines in scoring across all three games, showcasing his offensive prowess.

His performance at the festival also saw him doubling his season total of assists with 11, nearly doubling his blocks with four, and tripling his steals with six.

Lendeborg’s outstanding performance at the Players Era Festival not only earned him the MVP title but also solidified his status as a key player for Michigan this season.
