KINGSLEY- The Kingsley football team held their final practice at Rhodes Field under the lights tonight, with alumni in attendance as they continued to prepare for the Division Six state championship game against Jackson Lumen Christi.
The Titans are no easy opponent. They’re the reigning Division Six champions and won the Division Seven crown in both 2022 and 2023.
The Stags have also been a powerhouse. They’re looking for their third state championship win and second in three years.
Kingsley was the Division Six champ in 2005, as well as 2023, each under head coach Tim Ward and his assistant, Jason Morrow, who now has the title of head coach as well.
Kingsley and the Titans are meeting for the first time on the football field, and with the highest of stakes. Kick off will be at 4:30 p.m. on Friday at Ford Field in Detroit.
We spoke with Jason Morrow and some of the Stags stars about what it’s going to take to come home with a victory.
