BIG RAPIDS- Trinidad Chambliss has been one of the hottest quarterbacks in college football of late. He’s 4-1 as the starter at Ole Miss and is a big factor in why the Rebels were ranked 8th in the most recent AP Poll.
Ole Miss lost last week to the now 5th-ranked Georgia Bulldogs in a shootout that Chambliss still shone in, racking up over 300 yards of total offense and 3 touchdowns.
Chambliss is now in the top 10 for the best odds to take home the Heisman Trophy on numerous sports books. He won the Division 2 Heisman equivalent last year after leading the Bulldogs to a 14-1 record and a national championship.
Ferris State head coach Tony Annese spoke with 9&10 about his pride, but not surprise, watching his former QB continue to excel on college football’s biggest stage.
Chambliss and the Rebels will square off against 13th-ranked Oklahoma on the road on October 25th at noon.
