DETROIT —A banged up Lions secondary held Baker Mayfield in check and the offense did just enough as the Detroit Lions improved to 5-2 thanks to a 24-9 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Monday night.
Lions QB Jared Goff threw for 241 yards and touchdown while running back Jahmyr Gibbs tallied 136 rushing yards and a touchdown on the ground.
The Detroit defense allowed just one Tampa touchdown as QB Baker Mayfield tossed for 214 yards.

The Lions also forced a pair of Tampa turnovers.
Detroit now gets ready for a much needed bye week, before hosting division rival Minnesota on November 2nd.
