BIG RAPIDS- The defending national champion Ferris State Bulldogs begin their new season against Pittsburgh State on August 28th. Their opening game against Pittsburgh State last year saw the Bulldogs fall short and drop their only game of the season.

The two schools have now agreed to a two-year contract extension, meaning they’ll be one another’s first game on the schedule through the 2027 season.

Pittsburgh State is the winningest program in Division 2 history, and is ranked in the top 10 this year against the consensus #1 Bulldogs
