Beal City football: New season, new challenges after state title

BEAL CITY- The Beal City Aggies are both the kings and the hunted heading into the new high school football season, as they are coming off their first state championship since 2009.

The program is no stranger to the postseason; they made the state finals game in both 2019 and 2021, and finally broke through last year with a 43-14 win against Riverview Gabriel Richard. They lost some key pieces from last year’s team, but the work for this year began as soon as the last one ended, and head coach Brad Gross is confident in the body of work they’ve submitted thus far.

The Aggies start their season against Ravenna for the fifth straight year on the 28th. Beal City has won the pairs last three meetings.
