Detroit, MI —The Detroit Lions now know who they’ll face and where to open up the 2025-2026 season.
Multiple reports say the team will face division rival Green Bay on the road on Sunday, September 7th with a 4:25 kickoff.
It’s the first time the two teams will have faced each other to open the season since 2005.

The Lions finished last season 15-2 and claimed their second consecutive NFC North title.
They were bounced in the NFC Divisional round by the Washington Commanders.
The Lions also learned Wednesday afternoon they’ll play the Vikings in Minnesota on Christmas Day.
The rest of the Lions schedule will be released tonight at 8:00 PM when the rest of the league schedule is released.
