Mount Pleasant recognizes seniors that will be playing athletics at the next level

MOUNT PLEASANT - The Mount Pleasant Oilers recognized 12 their student-athletes that will be playing sports at the next level. Two of those athletes will be playing football at the division 2 level, offensive lineman Tyler Methner is headed to Northern Michigan and linebacker Brogan Parks is headed to Northwood. Both players are staying in their home state of Michigan talked about their choice of school at the next level.

“I mean, just a spot where the program is I believe in what they want to do. And just the guys that we have coming in, and we have such a good class coming in, I really believe that we can definitely turnaround from where they were before.” Said Methner. “Just you could tell there’s a different feeling in the locker room from when it was beforehand. And I think just the kind of guys that are just so dedicated to the program and have bought in.”

“The culture that Northwood brings that they’re on the uprise. They’re building a culture over there. And I’m just super excited to be a part of it.” Said Parks. “It was definitely a grind. You know, I had goals set, exceeded some of them some I left short so, there’s still a lot of work.”
