CLARE - The Clare softball team is looking to make it back to East Lansing in 2025 after falling in the state semifinal last season. The Pioneers have 7 seniors on this years’ squad including all state pitcher Madison Jones. Head coach Shane Kelly is leading Clare for the 4th season and already has a district and regional title under his belt from last year, he knows that his squad is hungry to get back.
“I think the same mindset we had last year getting better every single day, not resting on what we did in the past, you know, pushing to play harder, work harder, be more motivated and confident. I mean, we got there last year, we know what it’s like,” said Kelly.
The Pioneers softball team hopes to play their first game Thursday against Ithaca.
