BIG RAPIDS - The Ferris State hockey team will begin their playoff campaign on Friday at the road at St. Thomas in a best of 3 series. The Bulldogs are the #6 seed, and the Tommies are #3. For Ferris State head coach Bob Daniels, he’s led his team to their 26th playoff appearance in the last 28 years. The legendary coach will be retiring at the end of the season and while this could be the last series of his career, he’s focused on keeping the team together for as long as possible.
“The seniors and myself, we always want to extend the season out as long as we can. I haven’t thought about it in terms of myself necessarily, which is good.” Said Daniels. “You know, I’m kind of taking it one step at a time, but I think this group has really been a very close-knit team right from the beginning, and I think we would all like to extend the amount of time we have together.”
