Cadillac hoops get special opportunity to play at Little Caesars Arena

CADILLAC - On Thursday the Cadillac Vikings girls’ and boys’ basketball teams will get a once in a lifetime opportunity to play at Little Caesars Arena, the home of the Detroit Pistons. Both teams will take on Loy Norrix high school, which is located in Kalamazoo. In addition to getting to play on an NBA court during the afternoon the Vikings will be able to attend the Pistons vs Warriors game later that night.

Both head coaches are excited about the opportunity for their players.

“My experience with the kids is this is besides basketball, this is beyond the game of basketball, so maybe someday when they’re with their kids they can say hey I remember going down there and playing and being with coach Seeley, coach Simons, and coach Marvin,” said girls’ head coach Paul Seeley.

“It’s a great experience for our kid, and they get to miss a day of school which they’re all jacked up about.” Said boys coach, Ryan Benzenberg. “To be able to go down and play where you watch guys on TV play at night will be a really cool experience for us, In addition to that we’re going down there to compete we don’t wanna go down there and just be happy with being there, we’re making a trip out of it.”

The girls tip off at noon, with the boys team shortly after at 1:45.
