Ferris State football heads to Texas ahead of Saturday’s National Championship game

GRAND RAPIDS - The Ferris State Bulldogs left for Texas on Wednesday afternoon, ahead of Saturday’s national championship game against Valdosta State. The Bulldogs are looking for their 3rd national championship in the last four years, and this year also marks FSU’s fourth national championship appearance in the last 6 years. Valdosta beat Ferris in the national title game back in 2018, with the Bulldogs returning the favor in 2021. FSU head coach Tony Annese about his players ability to execute in clutch moments following Wednesday’s practice.

“You know, the tougher, the challenge, the tougher the circumstance, the better the dogs. And that’s how we’ve been. We rise to the occasion, you know, looking back at our playoff runs, not just this year, but over the course of time, you know, we’re gritty, we’re ready to ready to show our best. And so I’ll be proud on Saturday because I know the dogs will be there playing at their best,” said coach Annese.

Kickoff is set for 2 P.M. on Saturday in McKinney, Texas.
