Lions RB David Montgomery is out for the season after suffering an MCL injury during Sunday’s loss to the Bills, sources tell ESPN. Head coach Dan Campbell said Monday Montgomery will undergo season ending knee surgery.
Montgomery has been a fixture on the offense this year rushing for 775 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Detroit also learned Monday defensive stars Alim McNeill and Carlton Davis are likely done for the season.

McNeill suffered a torn ACL and Davis has a fractured jaw.
The Lions signed DT Alim McNeill to a 4-year, $96M extension and RB David Montgomery to a 2-year, $18.25M extension in October.
The Lions are back in action Sunday as they travel to Chicago to face the Bears, a team they beat on Thanksgiving.
