GAYLORD-- Coach DJ Szymoniak announced in a message today that his contract will not be renewed at Gaylord for the upcoming year.
Syzmoniak thanked all those who supported the program over his last four years at the helm, including his coaching staff and youth football board, players, and community.
In the four years under Syzmoniak Gaylord went 21-18, including an undefeated regular season and district championship last year.
Gaylord was team academic all-state in 2022,2023, and 2024 after only one prior achievement in school history. They also logged over 1600 hours of community service and raised over $15,000 for various organizations.
29 over Syzmoniaks players during his time achieved all-conference, 7 all-region, 4 all-state players, and nine Blue Devils would go on to play football at the next level.
