CEDAR SPRINGS - The Elk Rapids Elks are heading to their first state championship game since 1998 after beating Hartford 3-0 in the state semifinal on Wednesday. The Elks scored an early goal in the first half and added 2 in the 2nd half to get the win, they’ll know play for a state title on Saturday.
“I think the work ethic that we put into it, you know, over the years, not just this year, but like over the years, kind of building to this spot. I’m at a loss for words right now with this group,” said Elk Rapids head coach Nate Plum.
The Elks will take on Pontiac Notre Dame Prep on Saturday at 12:30 for the division 3 state championship.
