The annual Patriot Game is our Game of the Week, and we have all the details you need to know

TRAVERSE CITY - It’s that time of year again when Friday night football takes on an extra special meaning.

The 13th annual Patriot Game between Traverse City West and Traverse City Central is set for Friday, Oct. 25. 9&10 News will be at the big game and will be live from 4:30-5 p.m. for a special pregame show. We also will cover the game on air and online after the game has concluded.

The Patriot Game honors veterans, first responders, active-duty military and area heroes who died while serving our country, according to TCAPS.

Last year, the Traverse City West Titans snapped a four-game losing streak in the annual crosstown rivalry, defeating the Trojans 17-8.

Here are the key things to know about the game:

Weather

The 9&10 Weather team says that at kickoff, it should be 55 degrees with sun and clouds.

At halftime, it should be 52 degrees with a few clouds.

For the drive home, expect 49 degrees with a few clouds.

Winds will be light out of the northwest at 5-10 mph throughout the evening.

Tickets and game info

Game time is at 7 p.m. at Thirlby Field.

Tickets are available at GoFan.co for $7 each.

Tickets also will be available at the gate on game day beginning at 5:30 p.m. for $8 per ticket or $7 still on GoFan.co, or via Apple Pay or Google Pay.

All veterans, active duty and first responders receive free entry for the game and can enter Thirlby Field at the 13th Street rolling gate or through the 14th Street main entry.

Trojan supporters will wear red shirts while Titan fans will wear blue. Special t-shirts are available for purchase at school or at the game.

This year’s beneficiaries of the t-shirt fundraiser are Reining Liberty Ranch and Peace Ranch.
