A late field goal by Jake Bates gave the Detroit Lions a NFC North win in Minnesota 31-29.

Jared Goff completed his first 14 passes and his first incompletions came on Detroit’s opening drive of the 3rd quarter. Later in that drive, Khalif Raymond scored on a pass from Goff to extend the Lions leads to 28-17.

Detroit had a 28-23 lead late in fourth quarter when Minnesota punched the ball away from David Montgomery and returned it for a go-ahead touchdown.

But Jared Goff and the Lions drove into field goal range with :19 seconds left setting up the game winning field goal by Jake Bates.

Detroit is now 5-1 and returns home next Sunday hosting the Titans at Ford Field.
