Our game of the week featured two of the best football teams in recent years in northern Michigan.

This round went to the Falcons who held on in the low scoring affair.

Ogemaw Heights remains perfect on the year and travels to Shepherd next week.

The Flying G’s will try to get back in the win column hosting Clare.

Bay City Central, Traverse City West

Cadillac 49, Sault Ste. Marie 6

Cadillac passed its second road test of the season with ease, rolling over the Blue Devils and picking up their first win of the season in the process.

The Vikings host Alpena in more Big North action next Friday.

Sault Ste. Marie will try for its first win at Escanaba.

Bay City Central 0, Traverse City West 28

T.C. West improved to 3-0 with a shutout win over Bay City Central.

The Titans also held a special recognition for Samuel Dekuiper, a former West athlete who died earlier this year in a car crash.

West is back at Thirlby Field next week for a matchup with Grand Blanc.

Bay City Central will travel to Midland.

East Jordan 44, Kalkaska 13

East Jordan remained a perfect 3-0 after a road win over Kalkaska.

The Red Devils host Charlevoix next Friday.

The Blazers will try for their second win of the season when they host Cheboygan.

Rudyard 36, Brimley 30

Rudyard picked up a close road win Friday night in Brimley, topping the Bay 36-30.

It was the first win of the season for the Bulldogs who host Ontonagon next week.

Brimley is now 1-1 and will continue a stretch of four straight home games hosting Engadine in week 4.

Atlanta 34, Charlton Heston 30

The Huskies are now 3-0 after getting by Charlton Heston.

Atlanta hosts Alcona as they look to remain perfect next week.

Charlton Heston makes the trip to face Mio.
