BIG RAPIDS - The Ferris State Bulldogs are welcoming the Ashland Eagles to Top Taggart Field on Saturday as they look to earn their 2nd win of the season. The ‘Dawgs got a big 56-3 win at home last week against Lake Erie, while Ashland come into this game at 0-1. The two teams are very familiar with each other, Ashland used to be in the GLIAC, but left in 2020, and since then the two schools have played each other twice with Ferris State winning both games. The matchups are typically close games, but the Bulldogs are starting to click on both sides of the ball.
“Just getting settled in with our system, you know, I just feel like as time progresses, the comfortability of things has gotten a lot better. You got to be comfortable even though, you know, we play to the strengths of our players as far as the system goes it still requires, focus on the details. I think we’re getting to the point where we’re understanding things a lot better,” said Ferris State head coach Tony Annese.
Kickoff is scheduled for 6 at Top Taggart Field.
