MOUNT PLEASANT - The Central Michigan Chippewas have a tough road test on Saturday, going up against the Illinois Fighting Illini on the road. The Chippewas are coming off of a tough loss on the road against Florida International where the Chippewas turned the ball over 6 times leading to 39 FIU points. CMU are 6-29 against Big Ten opposition all-time and their last Big Ten win came against Purdue in in 2014. CMU has also lost their last 5 road games and are hoping that changes on Saturday.
“Whoever you play, it doesn’t matter. You know, you got to force that team to earn it and for us, we just can’t give it to them. And that’s what we did last week,” said CMU head coach Jim McElwain.
Kickoff is scheduled for noon.
